Just installed the latest upgrade, lots of new options including finally been able to organise my 13 models into any selection order is great, I asked for this two years ago.

Please can we improve the timer option further.
I fly a lot of electrics and would really like the 14Mz Timer system to optionally count up or down the minutes past.

a) Futaba create an program option against the two timers that says "Sound each Minute"

b) User creates predefined Sound bytes for each minute (1 - 20 etc) ie MINUTE1.WAV thru MINUTE20.WAV

c) If the "Sound Each Minute" option is on and the WAV files exist present instead of the Beep play the sound.

If anyone at Futaba is listening I would appreciate this option being added to their next upgrade, I have two mates who say they would use this feature if available as well.

This feature should be really easy for your programmers to add and be a great feature for competition fliers as well as those that fly electric models.

If someone can post this on the USA Futaba Users Group I would appreciate it too.

PS Its a real shame Futaba elect to only have a users group for the USA that really sucks for the rest of the world.

Morning Neil

Perhaps your post should read North America instead of USA.

I don't think it's Futaba that does this. I think it's the American importer of Futaba equipment that has set up this on-line user's group.

To add to your list:
- Pressing the system run time timer resets it no questions asked. I think it should bring you into some timer setup dialog as other active surfaces in the main display does when touching them, or at least ask before going ahead.

My timer in my 14MZ works just fine. For my electrics I have it set for 5 1/2 minutes. I even set it up to start on throttle stick movement so it doesn't even start until I advance the throttle. It beeps every minute, then at 30 seconds and then each second once it gets down to 10 seconds remaining. It even keeps going past the countdown time. Plenty loud too. On my glow models, I do it just the opposite. Doesn't beep every minute though, but when I am done, I can see how long I was in the air.

kcordell, are we talking about the same timer? I mean the one in the bottom left hand corner of the main screen.

The model timers works great for me too. I use both the model timers and program the first of them to count up with no limit and the second to count down using a model specific starting time. Both react to the throttle stick so they start counting at the same time. The second timer counting down means I get the audible feedback as you describe it too. If you want you can choose to show both counters on the main screen but you needn't and then only the first counter shows and for me that means I can see how long I have been flying on the main screen together with the throttle percentage and pitch degrees.

Knowbody is saying the timers don't work, its Futaba so of course they work.

What I would like is the ability to have the minutes actually sound out in words as I fly ie "ONE MINUTE", "TWO MINUTES"...... "SEVEN MINUTES"

Then I dont have at the xmitter when I am flying to see how long I have. Futaba give us the ability to save Recorded messages and attach them to all SW changes, the only thing you cannot attach a recorded message to is the timer.

Best Regards
Neil
