| well come to find out is that the crash was my fault completely!!! I purchased the new plastic tail case ..assembled it in at the field. Now, after I've tore the bird apart guess what I found out!!!?? I neglected to put the SET SCREW at the end of the shaft. Apparently it goes in deep enough to apply pressure on that pin to prevent it from popping out (as in my case). So, for those of you who read this.. Locktite the set screw all the way in, and CA the tips of the pulley!!!!!
I tallied the cost around 250 (including the mavirkk tail case upgrade and blades).
I've done a lot of research on the different manufactures of these R50 tail case and it seems that the mavirkk actually has good reviews.. I'll let you know how it goes...
On a final note, when I pulled the case off I found melted plastic around the end of the pulley from where the pin seperated and started rubbing..
Also, I'll be practicing autos with T Hold.. hopefully if this happens again that will at least give me a chance to land..
