e-Electric Batteries & Chargers > TP610c Question

My tp610c arrived in the mail today. Needless to say the instructions are incredibly vague and written by someone who doesn't speak english.

I'm trying to charge a 2070mah 4s 25C battery. What should I set the Ampere value at?

The instructions don't give any indication of how to balance cells, what to do if one cell isn't balanced or how to even know how much of a charge the pack needs. The symbols aren't defined and the screen shots don't match up. Yes, the directions specifically say "TP610c".

If anyone has any good tips on how to operate this please chime in.

Set your 610 to (4S), your charge amps should be set 2.00 amps for a 2070mah pack to charge at 1C.

For example: I charge my 6S 2600mah 25C packs at: (6S)/(2.60 amps)

Press amd hold the 'red' button to start the charge process. Once the charge is started, the 610C will check to see if your balancer is connected, then it will perform and 'initial' charge. Right after that, it starts to ramp-up the charge amperage to the pre-selected amperage.

Once your charging the display will show charge time, mah put back into your pack, charge amperage, and pack voltage.

While its charging, you can push the 'green' mode/select button and it will show the voltage of each cell and also the balancing of each cell shown by little circles.

That should get you going!

No, you can stop and start the charge process without hurting anything, although I would try not to do that to often. It is better to let the charge process run its course once started, but I don't think it will hurt anything!

I would charge at around 1.5 amps. If you plug the balance lead into charger and other in battery the charger will do rest! I have 2 of these and the instructions are a little confusing but go slow and they do explain everything. Also there is alot of info about charging c rating, and about this particular charger here in RR fourms! Good Luck

Just curious Hugh, why would you rather charge a 2070 pack at 1.5 amps instead of the suggested (1C charge) which would be 2.0 amps?

Some older batteries might not go by the 1c rating! Iv seen discussions about whether you should charge past 1c! Thats just me being cautious! I only charge my 3300mAh at 2amp even though by standards I should be able to charge at 3.3amp.

Also, if you are using the balance connector after it goes throguh the normal pre charge and once it starts the actual charge if you press and hold the green button it will switch screens and you and scroll to see the voltage of each cell and the difference between the high and low voltage. Chuck

No problem, glad I could help. Once you get the hang of it it's not so bad, but I was always pressing the wrong button until I got the hang of it. I'm quite happy with my 610C. One of my flying buddies just go one and I'm thinking about getting another one.
