Audacity Models Pantera 50 - Tiger 50 > Question about the Multigov Pro

I just got the Multigov Pro and I have a question. Since I am switching from a TJ Pro to the multigov and I already have the magnets in place on the fan assembly do I need to change them or can I use the existing magnets? They are setup in the opposite pole configuration ie one side north the other south.

Thomas

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you!

Should work fine. I have the same setup in my fan and it works great.

Just do a basic hook up and see what number it gives you on the sensor test. It should be close to 100, if you are getting in the 90's go for it.

No promblem with the "other" magnet. I even got so lazy that I use the TJ Pro sensor without a problem.

How about the ATG sensor? Is it wired the same? I'd like not to have to rerun wires if I don't need to so I can switch from my ATG to Multigov. Furthermore, I assume my magnet being on my clutch bell is OK instead of the fan as well?

Thanks.

I removed both my TJ's and switched to Multigov..

Used the same sensors & magnets, just unplugged one & plugged in the other - sweet....

I do know the Multigov doesnt pick up the GV-1 sensor...

And as a final note - Ill never buy a TJ again

Hey Tom, you put the magnets on the clutch bell? Why? How did you secure them? Post a picture because an advantage of this method is not needing to remove the sensor connection when dropping the engine or otherwise pulling maintenance. Sounds interesting!

I put the magnet in the clutch bell on my Vibe b/c they are pre-drilled in that location (see pic). I used epoxy to secure/install. Not sure if there is an operational advantage. Advantage for me (or other Vibe owners) is it's pre-drilled and and a nice sensor mount included AND as you stated, I do not need to remove sensor when dropping/pulling the motor.

Here you go. FYI this is on a Vibe 50. 1st picture is the magnet and sensor installed. 2nd picture is the pre-drilled hole.

Forget the pain in the butt magnets and the balancing, etc.

This is the ultimate answer.. and works well with the multigov.

Not a bad thing to keep in the toolbox in case you throw a magnet and still want to fly with your governor.

Got to agree with ya Scott!!

This sensor is in reality the sweetest thing to use when dealing with a gov. I have seen it used in the LHS heli and removal is cake if you have to, but for maintanence you really won't need to remove it at all unless it is for internal engine maintanence, and you would have to remove the back plate anyways for that.

My 2 cents
