| Jagnz, I don't have a 9CHPS, but I use a 9CHP with a tj pro and it often calibrates ok on the first try, sometimes needing a second, but rarely.
The thing about calibrating the TJ with the 9C is that you have to disable the governor function on the tx and set your normal mode throttle curve to 0 25 50 75 100, where 0 is totally close. I never bother with the throttle cut or trim when I calibrate(although that seems to be the recommended one) and never really have a problem. I use the default 2 position switch(SW A I think) to do the flipping calibration.
With the above set, flip the SW A 4times(up down up down), then move the stick from low to full throttle to low to full(for normal servo mode, keep it at low when you exit calibration mode), flip it twice(up down). Reset the normal throttle curve to how it was. Enable governor menu. If the governor light don't come on at around 50-55% on the governor menu and comes on at around 57% or so(assuming throttle stick at high value), the calibration can be considered done. The system works fine even if your governor light don't go off at exactly 25%(mine is always 23.5%, repeatable) on the throttle curve or exactly 50% on the governor menu.
And yes, I have experienced the tj pro not engaging 2 or 3 times in the past but its always on the first flight and after not flying the heli for a while. In the recent 1.5years where I fly 2 or 3 times a week, I have never lost the calibration.
I have not used the multi gov, so I am not too sure how good or easy it is. The only other governor that I have is the ATG V3. It wasn't particularly good or bad. Calibration is definately easier because there is no need to flip the switch. Can't exactly say that I hate the atg because in active mode, it was more powerful(with lots and lots of overspeeding), but I took it off and reinstalled the tj pro after 3 flights with the atg because it just doesn't feel right. |
