Install a carb smart on your hyper 50 and leave the adjusting to the onboard computer. All you do is set the computer up for full lean mix position, full rich mix position (by pushing the proper button) and set the celsius temp (usually around 100 C), then fly the bird and watch how the carb smart cycles. If after you fly it hard and the carb smart servo is still on full lean mix, then increase the celsius set temp to 110 C and fly it again. You should see the servo begin to cycle the mix arm back slightly toward the rich side or to the neutral position. That means the temp setting for the way you fly is now correct and the carb smart will do the rest.
This is the best invention to come along in years. It keeps the guess work out of the equation.
When your engine gets hot, the carb smart richens the mixture to cool her down. When your engine runs cold, the computer leans her out to heat her up some.
Very few engines today need break-in periods. That was from the old days when they ran chrome plated piston rings that needed to seat to the cylinder bore before they sealed correctly.
Still, if you run your engine hot and do not have the proper lubricant for the temp you are running, she will seize...use a carb smart!!
Have a great day...now go fly!! Smacka |
