OK Here's the scenario. I built a 3d pro kit a few years ago and crashed it in the back yard. I repaired it with CNC parts (including tail gearbox) intent on getting it back into the air but then rug-rats and nitro helis arrived. Last weekend I dusted it off and had a go. Well, what a let down. The tail wags like a dog chasing a bone, even when the gyro is backed right off. I reduced the tail servo throw and things seemed to improve slightly but it was still nowhere near right. The final attempt at sorting the problem ended in a stripped crown gear (CNE319) No problem, or so I thought, I'll just get one ordered up but.....discontinued right across the planet. So here I am trying to get some ideas on options. Do I

1. Bin it and transfer the electrics into something else (Gaui 200 ?) It seems a shame to bin the bling though

2. Try and find a crown gear or belt conversion from another manufacture ?

3. ......

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Join the club pal. I have come to believe Century does
not care for the customer, just the sale.

Thanks Old Man, You have confirmed my suspicions. I suppose it's all down to their "business model". I'll stick with German kits from now on. ... quality and 100% spares availability. I guess you get what you pay for.
