e-Century Hummingbird - Swift > Humming Bird Hover Question

My "bird" should be here Tueday. I have been doing tons of practice on G2. I was just wondering how high will the stock "bird" go in a hover? Just have been curious after playing with the Wattnot in G2 doesn't seem like it has a lot of power to climb in a hover unless of course you add in a little forward flight...Oh well, I was just wondering and drooling waiting on my "bird". Hope everyone had a great Easter!

On the stock motor and stock 7 cell battery it will climb fine. I assume you are nearer sea level than space? At about 1000 feet elevation where I live, I have flown it probably 50 feet. Higher than that and it gets real small

I have switched to a 6v 280bb motor and 2x1200 lithium poly cells and the vertical perfomance has really increased a good deal.

But stock it is more than adequate.

hover?

In reality mine still does not hover, in my OPINION, you have to remove the black sleeve from the main shaft to get it even close to a "hover",balance is critical, this thing is light, so the weight under the blades needs to be evenly distributed to settle it in just right, some people have "10 seconds" of hands off hover, I doubt that is on a bone stock HB! I can hover a .32 size nitro heli dead on, this little thing has really improved my bigger heli skills, I LOVE IT. Just don't hit the big screen TV!

The 'bird will get up in the air in a hurry! I got a little carried away one day out on a calm day at the sod field....it was dang near a speck in a heartbeat! So, yes, it will get up there and it is just soooo much fun!

I got home from work tonight and chargeded up my battery pack and what started out as a quick hoop ended up as a 7 minute flight..

I had my video camera running so I new by the time on the tape was close it ended up like 7 minutes 20 seconds...
