Wow, that is totally opposite from my observations on the 600N/E.
...Of the blades that I have flown/fly on these helis (SAB600, RT610`s, Radix, and V`s{non-tst} ), the 610s are the worst for autos. SABs and Radix are the best (especially for "hang-time" ) and the old style V`s are pretty darn good too.
Don`t get me wrong, I still really like the Rotortech610`s. If it weren`t for their poor auto`ing characteristeics, they would probably be my first choice in blades overall. Some days they still are . It all depends on my mood
IMO, all of the "good" blades that I`ve tried bring performance with compromise. In other words, they all have areas in which they excel, but do so at the expense of performance in other areas. For autos though, SABs and Radix are the best I`ve tried. They settle into "the sweet spot" the easiest, and they appear to retain more headspeed at the bottom of the auto to create more "hang-time". |
