I happen to lose a ball and the little spacer on the swash. It seems you have to get a whole new swash to get these parts. Does anyone know if you can actually get these parts without buying the whole swash?

Thanks,
Pete

The inner balls are JR70002 (10 in a pack with 10mm screws included) and the spacer is part# JR70078 (bag of two I think. Not sure).

On this expensive side of the pond, the balls cost around $6 and the pack of spacers around $2

Cool thanks for the quick reply I actually lost it in flight I couldn't even tell anything was wrong while it was flying. I noticed it when I was filling it up to fly again Some say its better to be lucky than good

I think you should grab a beer. Breaking a mixing arm and not noticing it is something that doesn't happen every day

Oh and while you're drinking your beer, grab a bottle of 603 loctite (green, high strength, low viscosity, oil tolerant). You want this type of loctite on parts that you don't need to service (like the balls on the swash). If you ever need to remove them, heat up the ball with a lighter type blow torch for 20 seconds and it will come right out. Don't attempt to screw it off without heating it up. You will strip the head. the 603 is also great for bearings. For normal work, use 243 (blue, low strength, medium viscosity, oil tolerant)

Tony

PS - You will need a new washout arm (JR96149) and a new washout link (JR70010)

There were a few of us watching and nobody noticed anything strange that flight. FFF, flips, rolls, stall turns, inverted hover, etc and all of it looked just as smooth as any other flight on Pete's Vibe.

I would definately drink a few beers after dodging a bullet like that

Yeah it was crazy, I just put some stubz on it and was tuning the weights cuz I love to see how fast it will go I got it to have no pitchyness as fast as I could get it to go and it was hands off smooth all the way across the field. Once again very lucky.
