Hi Guys,
I'm trying to setup a 8V setup with JR 8717 on cyclic and throttle. What batteries are you guys using? A 2600 mah pack or is that not strong enough for an 8V setup? I heard a buddy of mine running a 5200 mah in his Trex 600. I felt that is a bit much but I don't really know.

Thanks in Advance,
Bub

i ran a evolite 2100 in my trex600n but you will only get 3 flights maybe 4 out of it.

but only one of those flights will be really at 8v after that it drops down

Do the servos use that much more when you dont have a regulator fitted ?

Im using a 2S 2250 with align reg and it will easily do 8-10 flights and still only have to put back around 1200mah.

Seems pointless conversion if you need to carry a huge rx pack .

Its the preformance qualities people are after with the 8V set-ups not the number of flights!Just swap out another battery at the field and your good for another 3 or 4 flights. The 8717 servos suck back alot juice!!

It does require cutting the radio tray a little on one side to fit the 600N..
the casing is about 50g extra weight but you wont taco the pack
I figure 8717s at 2s on a 50 average 75mah per min or about 400mah per flight

I'm using one of these on my 8V setup and get roughly 6 flights.
