How many of ya'll replace the grips in your Evo 90's after a crash that takes out your blades? I wasn't paying attention when ordering a set and got one per pkg at $21 instead of the two I get with the Evo 50. After a good crash last week, which did take out the blades I did replace the grips but upon decent exam there isn't a mark on them. I can't recall ever having broken a grip on the 50 and I know I have reused them on that machine. I did replace the 90's this time as well, but if I don't need to throw them out......Just curious more than anything

Rarely.

I have the same question, but for 30 size. I've gotten a new set since I didn't want to risk a failure for $14. It does feel like such a waste, however. Anyone else have some input to add?

Nope. If I replaced grips after every set of blades I've destroyed I would have a big pile of old grips by now.

It is a good idea to check the bearings. The radial bearings in particular can be damaged in a crash. Check them for smoothness and minimal play between the races.

Tail grips are a different story. It is a VERY good idea to replace those if you break a tail blade.

Rock and Roll. I am all for erring on the side of safety but on some things there is a limit. Bearings are a good idea, and I don't blame Hirobo for including a new set with each grip which makes them expensive, but i sure don't want to waste any good parts. I am by no means a 3d king, but I don't fly smooth all the time either. I suppose if one of those things were going to let loose it'd happen during a sudden direction change.

Thanks for the replys
