Scale Model RC Helicopters > Painting Main Blades???

Has anyone ever painted their main blades? I have a favorite pair that I'd like to use when I complete my new scale body and I'd like to paint them flat black with yellow tips. I understand that I'd have to re-balance them, but thought I'd ask you guys!
Thanks!

Yup. I painted mine... on all my blades (unless the blades are still brand new or I haven't decide what theme to go with yet).

Previous, I tried to use white label sticker and colored it with highlighter marker and stick onto the blade tips...but now, I prefer paint instead.

I prefer Tamiya spray paint (normally use in static model). It dry fast and has very fine grain type of paint.

I find that it is best to spray the blades with white matt/flat first as the base coat. After that, spray whatever paint u prefer. After that, balance the blades again. U can use transparent or same color as the newly painted blade sticker for balancing. For me, sometime I use the paint as the balancing. Which blade that is "lighter", I spray paint it some more to make it heavier instead

yep, i do things just the way you do super hornet. scalers look so much better when the blades are painted the same way the real ones are. a nice new set of shiny white blades form the top manufacturers out there only look good on a pod n boomer.

I painted mine using a orange safety color paint made for plastic and fiberglass
washed blades with alcohol then painted them for visual effect
I find it helps to see the rotor disc when flying '

I agree with payne1967 Just buy some black carbon fiber blades like Rotor Tech for example then just paint the tips..it will keep the weight down as well

(only run if I do!)
