I have about 1 1/2 gallons of fuel through my hawk pro. This is my first heli and I know they need a lot more care than planes. My question is what do I need to do or look for after a gallon. I check it after every flight for loose bolts, but what major things do I need to look for or need to oil, etc.

One thing to keep an eye on is the vent pipe in the fuel tank. Mine has broken off twice. I put a drop or two on oil on the bearings/moving parts. Also keep an eye on the counter shaft for your tail rotor. Some guys have had problems with the bearing spinning in the bearing block and wearing the shaft badly.

I know about that section of RR. I am just asking a general question about any heli. I just mentioned that I had a Hawk Pro.

Yep, check the set screws in ALL pinion type gears. Check all ball links. Check for slop on the bell mixers and the tail rotor lever. Check set screws in the tail drive components. Drop of triflow on tail shaft, 2 drops on the main mast. CHECH the starter shaft pin! mine likes to slip, when it does it can chew up the fan pretty good. All things I have to do on my Hawk Sport. Also check muffler fastners.
