MAYBE SO!

The spartan is the most "state of the art" gyro to date, to boot. look at the size and weight...HOW NICE.....Take a look at the Solid G, "a modern day 611"....just my opinion!

Well, since the 611 was the king of the hill in its day, I would agree.

The Spartan is my choice by far. Not only is it smaller and lighter (one piece instead 2 like the Solid g and 611), it is a breeze to set up. Even paired with a 9254, I cannot blow the tail during hurricanes and high tail slides. You do not need the USB link or the Bluetooth link to set it up. Once you go through the basic set up, you fly your heli and adjust the gain as needed and that's it.

It is miles ahead of the Logictech and 611 in overall feel. It is not sensitive around center and the piro rate is consistent. I have not flown a Solid G so I cannot compare the Spartan to it. But it blows the 6100T and 611 away.

I wouldn't trade mine for two solid-G's

Why not?...you can sell the 2 Solid G's and get yourself a Spartan that you like so much and keep the profit!

After a bit of trouble with my spartan which I thought was the culprit for losing my tail in 3 seperate occasions, I found out that my lipo was failing, and switched it out and the gyro is simply awesome again. I can't blow the tail out no matter how badly I fly

You just can't beat how easy it is to set up, and the small size, no seperate amp, and great support, I think the wait for one is worth it. Solid G is nice I'm sure, but at the end of the day you have 2 pieces to mount instead of 1 which was the deciding factor for me...

NO SOUP FOR YOU!!

You know what I really like about it?

The confidence I have in it... yep. When something starts feeling wierd, its either the tail servo or a power issue. That narrows things down a bit

Very interesting debate!
Just I want to share my short experience with the 770T.
I had this gyro in my R90 and NSP...
The quality is impressive, piro rate is WOWWW, piro stop is WOWWW, piro consistency is also very good. The Gyro si too sensitive and it takes some time to achive the right settings.
I'm using 770T and 8900G in my R90 with a JR PCM9XII Propo. Very happy with this combo.
For my T-rex I can't get the same performance! During fast backwards the tail blows and I lost the amazing fast piro rate combined with good piro stop.
What I did is buy a Solid G and give it a try!
I would buy a Spartan as well as the Solid G since both seems to be very good gyros, but finally I got the cheapper one.
I'm gonna fly my heli on this weekend and see if the gyro is that good!!

I love the pirouette rate of the Solid G, very very consistent no matter what even with stocker plastic tail blades.

So

I went with the solid G as at the time I got my gyro thats all I could get they were outta stock on the spartan. I like it so far on the Aurora but more time will tell if I keep it.

I've tried the 601, 611, 770, and Spartan. Spartan has my vote....twice ( I bought 2 )

One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet....and I don't know if the Solid G is capable of it or not....but the Spartan's firmware can be updated with a simple download to add new features, add new servos to the pick lists, etc. Personally I don't know how the solid G could outperform it. On both my 450 V2 and Vibe, the piro is super consistent and the tail lock just doesn't let go no matter how badly I pooch a manoeuver.
