| Helibandit, I'm intrigued by your term "Galactic Alignment". Do you have any idea of what this might be?? Your statement of "passing through the Galactic Centre" also has me puzzled. We are part of a rotating 'body', the Galaxy, comprising approx. 100 Billion stars (count them!) Dark matter, planets and various model helis. We are aproximately 26 thousand Light-Years from the centre and simple physics says if we managed to break away from our orbit (around the centre) and headed inward at the speed of light, it would take 26 years to get there. You therefore don't need to worry about anything until 2034! Send me a PM in 2033 and I'll check my calculations again.
