| toolman.. beltcp flew great out of the box. its true.
I learned to fly on beltcp, it served me well too. But one windy day, it was swept away causing me to panic. I was unable to control the heli aileron roll fast enough to prevent crash. To this day I can only speculate what when wrong; gyro is non-headhold, thus prone to drift by wind, e-sky servo not fast and strong enough to give me the desired cyclic in time, wooden blade not rigid enough to give me the desired pitch in time, headspeed not high enough . All I know is, it was not my fault I crashed on that day (I know you hear that alot but I can list many crashes due to pilot error but this is NOT one of them)
dont get me wrong beltcp has a place in this hobby, but whenever ppl tells me that beltcp is as good as MT/T450/Beam, I would take my stock beltcp out, do a few loops, rolls, funnels or perhaps piroflip abit. Then I would say, yes its capable but its not as good as MT/Beam/T450.. and it can do everything beam can do.. but it takes alot out of the pilot due to its limitations. |
