| The G5 is supposed be more stable than most 450s while at the same time being more responsive and agile. Seems like a contradiction. But I noticed the same thing when I went from the Esky woodies to the cut down Aligns, cut to 8mm longer than stock. Much more stable and more responsive. But more that just being more responsive, the heli is more "true" to the inputs I give it. Not doing more or less than I ask it. Makes it easlier and more satisfying to fly. I can only imagine that going to a 450 is all that and so much more. The 350 sized blades continue that trend, as long as there a strong power system.
Regarding the weight differences. The 6s packs are only 1300 mah so not much heavier than a standard 2200mah pack
Cellpro 2200 3s 25c 181 grams Outrage 1300 6s 25c 219 grams
Because of the higher voltage, the motor is pulling less current so the lower mah is able to keep up and then some. I'm still waiting for more real world reports of flight times. The 8-10 minutes of hard 3d seem almost too be good to be true. But I can believe the power system performance is better than the status quo. Even though I'm getting 10 minutes with the HBK2, that's really more than I need or want. T500 times are between 4 and 5 minutes, which seems a little short for all that expense.
The Outrage approach is very intriguing to me. But, I've made no final decisions. The 6s configuration causes a bit grief for the charging options. I had my heart set on a Cellpro 10s. But that can only change one 6s at a time. The Hyperion duo will do two packs at the same time, but it doesn't have all the features that are important to me and costs a bit more. I just saw there is Cellpro 6s coming out toward the end of the year, which is likely a better match for the Outage 6s packs. What I really want is a Cellpro 12s should it ever be made.
The MA Fury 450 should be out soon (I hope) so there will be more options to consider.
