My heli recently went in and I think the gyro was damaged. It stayed attached to the heli and was extremely solid before the crash. Now I have a twitchy tail. While there's no physical damage, I think something inside took a hit. Where does one send a CSM gyro for service. TIA guys!!

The short answer is: Back to jolly old England.

The longer answer involves visiting CSM's website, talking to them about the problem, and probably send it back for a checkup.

One note: It may not be the gyro - it could very easily be the wires to the gyro.

The service is very fast though, They usually turn mine around in a day, so really it depends on how your mail service is.

Good luck

Their service is very good. If you send it back to them they will check it out for free. All you have to pay is the return postage if there is nothing wrong with it. It may be worth calling them first to discuss the problem.

I can't complain about the service either.

It's just the flight across the pond takes a while.

I remember when I shipped my gyro back to CSM for a firmware flash, the USPS didn't have a listed postage rate for sending the mail to England. So there I was in the post office, with people impatiently waiting behind me, while the postal service tried to figure out why they couldn't ship to England.

I could see issues with mailing to Iran, Cuba or North Korea - but England? It's been almost 200 years since the British burned down the White House in the War of 1812... you'd think time would heal all wounds or something...

I cant speak highly enough of the service from CSM. They will be only to glad to sort the problem out for you. There turnaround is very quick and the only slow bit will probably be the postal service back to you.

If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!

I've sent numerous gyros to CSM for repair or firmware upgrade. They turn things around fast, are inexpensive: What could be better than that. I doubt anyone could do it any quicker if they were even in the same state as me (Texas).
