e-BEAM Beam E4 > cooling holes on beam canopy?

Is anybody adding holes in the canopy to allow cooling for the battery and speed control? Care to share some pics?

I will be running a scorpion -6 and 55A speed control and am concerned about heat in the speed control and battery, especially in the summertime.

never seen anyone cut holes for cooling yet, you can cut a slice, then heat the area up and form the plastic into a scoop in that area....

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

I cut a 1" x 2" hole under the nose so I can access battery connectors without removing the canopy. I don't think it did much to aid in cooling though. My batteries get pretty hot. The Scorpion 2221-8 gets significantly warm as well. Is this normal? My head-speed seems high with 75% flat throttle curve and 13t pinion. I'm not sure why else it would get so hot. Any thoughts?

I made three holes at the buttom of canopy using rimer for ventilation.
Size is about 13mm diameter each.
After covering the Beam canopy, I feel that battery, motor and ESC are all in confined space.

Fly high with dreams !!
