| The cheap packs were fine for me - for a while. After a few years, though, I got sick of having to wait while I recharged the receiver packs. So I went to Lithium + Regulator, and am quite happy with that. A123 batteries can be nice - really fast charge rates are possible, and it's a pretty forgiving chemistry.
I had put the battery in the compartment underneath the radio tray- and it was a PITA to have to get the battery back out to replace it, so I just waited for the battery to charge at the field. (I did replace them as necessary, of course.)
