Just bought in to a club here in indiana and took it for a flight today and i am loving it.. it is a 1966 cherokee 180 pa-28-180 im still a student pilot i have 29 hours..
Got my private rating in a Cherokee 140 and have flown 180s as well, they all fly really great. I almost bought a Warrior once, but it ended up falling through because they wouldn't budge on the price and the thing needed paint and interior badly.

Sweet!
I flew one of those while taking lessons back in '86. It was August and the density altitude here was too high to fly the 152 with 2 big guys and a full tank. What a difference from 110 hp to 180. I'm envious!
yeah as you can see im a big guy so i wanted something that would easily carry my instructor and myself. it has an 1150 pounds of usefull load so i am digging it... and it is ifr rated also
Nice man...Congrats!!!!! My buddy has a '68 and I built a little time in it Probably current for the next 4 years in it too lol we did 39 touch~n~goes to commemorate the tail number once N78"39"N...we were bored that day if yall are wondering
Yea, I see you know everything but can see why kids love cinnamon toast crunch????
I had the 430 in mine and I loved it! I have lot's of time in a T210 and a 310 with the 530; not sue I'd spend the extra money over the 430 for my needs. I'd give the advantage to the 530 in IFR. In my TR182 I had a 430 with an MX20...GREAT for IFR.

UCGC, what antenna do you use with Garmin 430? Is it tri-band or single units for each function?

If you are looking for a portable then the 496 is a great option. If you do not plan on flying IFR or in weather then the 495 is the same as the 496 minus the XM stuff.
I love my 496.
If your talking the club into a panel mount, go the 430W route. Little cheaper and does all the 530W does with a smaller screen.
