POOP!

To the gentleman with 24 bath breaks?

Now for the POOP? All I can say is WOW! I bet yall did have a time with all that stopping and going! You got it right, As of now no more complaints about my kids bathroom breaks! Man, I feel sorry for you!
Well, look at the bright side, If we didn't have kids we would have to blame our hobbies for our insanity. (Ha!)

My most expensive crash was $150, but I treated my Blade 400 as a lawn dart from 60 feet in the air and hit the ground as fast as it would go. Note to self... more height when practicing loops...lol.
Most of that cost was a new battery.

Hey Steven,

All I can say is OUCH! How long did it take to get your ship flying again? Well, I could no longer resist. I tried to hover my new 400
tonight with training gear in my living room and I guess you could say that I got it light on its skids but chickened out of going any further. It kinda acted a little squirrely at that point of lift off so I decided to shut it down. I think I need to find me a good simulator and have some flight time on that before I even think about
that again. I never intended on actually hovering, but you could tell
that bird was fixing to take off! One thing I noticed is that it wanted
to go sideways, so I am guessing it needs some kind of adjustment? I
can't help to notice the SHEER POWER that little emotor can produce!
It's official' I am Hooked!

Jet,

Use RADD, it will help. The movement is normal. All helis will drift left at take off. RADD will teach you to counteract it. Be careful with that heli inside around others. The servos tend to strip easily and the heli could really hurt someone. Sorry, I'm sure you know that. It's just that I was stupid once and nearly got hurt and broke my computer. Take it slow and you'll be fine.

On the lawn dart issue... I had it repaired within a few hours. I can build that heli blind folded, in the dark, with mittens on.

Good Luck.

I highly reccomend picking up Phoenix as the best SIM out there. It even has the Blade400 as a free download and the realism far surpasses any other SIM on the market.

That's gonna be easiest and fastest way to need new furniture, lamps and any nice decoration that you ans the miss have around the house!
It may be a lil one but has enough power to cause serious damage! and or injuries. So be careful if you are gonna try to hover it or do some hops around(so you get the feel for it), take it outside, (but we all have done it! I did too! just to check it out but its dangerous)
and that sideways action is the effect of the air under the heli(the air that is been forced down by the blades its bouncing off the ground back up), that goes away once the heli is up and farther away from the ground.

Did you check what servos your 400 have on it? Does it still have the stock ones?

Also, you'll notice a slight right side lean when your hovering, that to is normal.

I 2nd the Phoenix Sim. It is awesome and you don't have to have the newest computer to run it.

From what I hear, Phoenix rocks....I have FSOne, but if I were to buy one now, I'd get Phoenix.

But with that said, there is a free one over at helifreak in the trex450 stickies section. It's basic, but it is decnet too and you can customize things like wind settings, and such. From the few sims I've tried, the free on there is pretty realistic in terms of learning how to hover.

Good luck!

servos...

hey guys,

Void that last transmission I made.
I am typing on an iPhone and accidentally
submitted my post blank! My wife has the computer
right now. These buttons are so small. Anyways,

Yes, I am pretty sure that the servos are stock.

Hey, ya'll gave me a good idea! Maybe I should
hover this rascal into my old tv and that would
give me a good excuse to buy the late great Hdtv?
(hAhA!)

Does anyone here have an apple? I recently
got a MacBook pro os10 operating system
which is awesome but the only sim that I
could find was the xplane. It has a raptor
on it but I only have a joystick? Is there
a way to just get a connector for my radio,
or should I buy a sim radio, and would that be
compatible? Whew! It took me 30 minutes to type
this!

Anyways, thanks for all the great input!
You guys are what makes this learning experience a fun one!

You can dual boot that Mac and run a windows op on the other partition. You can then install a regular flight sim. I did the same and ran realflight.

hello,

Yes, I think I am going to have
go shell some more money out for
The windows program. Too many companies
still using old technologies. Thanks!

Well' after a long 6 hour drive both ways to and from the big town

of HOUSTON, TEXAS with 3 screaming kids having to pull over every

30 mins for a bathroom break

OK I'm gonna apologize before hand! Sorry but I put season one volume one DVD of Blue Collar TV (the blue collar comedy show) and they have a sketch just like that with Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable guy and Bill Engvall as lil kids on the back seat driving the parents crazy while they drive and is funny as hell and it remember me you writing these! Again sorry! But its funny as hell!(especially coming back from the bar with a few drinks on the system!)

Kids

Hey 306,

That sounds about right. Kids are great! Still loving the addiction!

However, I am not confident hovering the heli without it being tethered
to the ground. Atleast until I can find a pilot willing to trim it out
if it need to be. I am still waiting on my home made skids built to arrive from KB-Heli. I guess they should be here any day now I hope! I ordered them a few weeks ago. I can't wait to put them on my Jet Ranger. You should post that video, I would like to see it! Anyways,
Good to hear from you!
