Here is a quote straight from the Manual:

| For the best throttle response, a fuel containing 10% to 30% nitromethane is preferable. Lubricants may be either castor-oil or a suitable synthetic oil (or . a blend of both) provided that they are always of top quality. For consistent performance and long engine life, it is essential to use fuel containing AT LEAST 18% lubricant by volume.

So dropping the nitro content will produce sluggish throttle resonse, You could deal with that by programming the Carb Smart and/or governor. The one thing I would not do is go below 18% oil content. But that is my personal choice. I would never do that to my engine.
