well I have now had this happen to me twice, and I have talked to others that has had this happen to too,,

after installing a new rear bearing in my Hyper 50 the bearing was notchy,, after a very good rinse with Rubbing Alcohol the bearing became smooth again,,

what had happen was do to the case being hot the bearing heated up too, so the light oil inside the bearing had pooled then gummed up as it cooled,, so the Rubbing Alcohol cleaned out the gummed oil..

anyone else have this happen ??

When fitting a new rear bearing I put the case back in the oven and the bearing in the freezer.

The bearing just drops in , just give it a little tap to make sure its fully home.

The bearing will then only get luke warm .

Does your wife ever burn your dinner ?lol

May be your getting the case too hot .

It will not hurt ethier way as the oil would get washed through any way .

But always run alittle fine oil into the bearings when fitted for the first run.

Had the same issue, It might be that it compression the bearing to much before install. I have made a tool to actually press the bearing in. Also make sure it goes in farily straight or the same thing will happen.
