If you think it's a waste of time stop responding!
For the record i run in all my engines in at that headspeed for a couple of tanks, secondly all 5 my 770 gyro's respond well at that headspeed.
If you don't like belts so be it!, it just happen i prefer belts, if you don't like my preference it won't help if you throw your toys out the cot.
The wobble in the gears exist because of too much tolerance between the shaft and the gear that is fixed with the one screw, on another post someone had the clarity of mind to add grub screws to the gear to prevent the wobble (a definate improvement), tightening will seem to fix it but it doesn't you can still move the gear axially on the pin.
a Second improvement is obviously to add a second bearing to the t/tube.
Whether this will take the resonance away I'm not sure, other have tried it with mixed success.
Guys don't get too exited here, this is my opinion you are not obliged to agree or disagree for that matter. Right now I'm looking for a cure with the std drive, something I'm convinced I will find somehow. My description of the crappy tail was my own observation after being on the receiving end of an issue that was debated ever since the vibe broke cover.

well another mistake your making is trying to compare this with other helis you have, you need to think about this one not how the others are. what works on the others may not work on this one.

but coming out and saying its crap without finding whats wrong first is just dumb on your part.

maybe you should have said im having trouble with it and maybe you will find out better how to fix it, if your willing to take the advice given. not just say my other helis it works fine. cant go by that on any heli out there.

the only solution to fixing it is finding the problem in the first place

Dumb is a bold statement to make if you failed to notice that i did indeed find the cause of the problem.
If you read my post you would have noted that the cause of the problem is a resonance in the torque tube created by centrifugal vibrational force. How did i came to this conclusion? I flipped the t/tube around and the problem that showed in hover dissappeared completely up to 1750 headspeed. As you may have noticed the bearing is in an off centre position for this exact reason i.e. to prevent resonance, vibration and fatique according to the manual.
By flipping it around you change the wavelength of the vibration so it shows up differently.
How can you not compare different heli's, espescially if they are part of your own fleet. My statement may have been taken out of context a little in that i did not want to degrade a very nice heli, in fact there are quite a couple of items that i rate superior to my stratus. However my preference of a belt are shared by many due to simplicity low noise levels etc. But and this is important, the t/tube does work very well in a lot of heli's but there are issues with the vibe50, i base this opinion on the many posts regarding tail problems.
If this was not a general problem discussed in depth I would have had a different approach in that my observation would have been based on my own experience, hence my reaction would have been different.
I don't mind fixing a problem but i will definately voice my displeasure when a brand new heli needs modifications to perform satisfactorily.
I have to ask the question why I can buy a basic raptor 50 off the shelve put it together in a day and go fly with no issues whatsoever, then you "upgrade" to amore expensive"superior" heli and suddenly issues arise where you have to modify your new kit to get it to perform to expectation. As the vibe is a new design my tolerance levels are high espescially since the rest of the heli is superb. But JR needs to fix this and probably will, this can only happen if they get feedback, positive and negative!
