And why do you think they came out with a synthetic oil??? Carbon build up,, Thats why,,,, You keep on running mineral oil, and you will eventually get carbon build up,, Just ask the Pros',, and Engine builders.. Carbon will eventually stick your ring, and kill a engine,, Who's out of touch?? XGM/VGM

35 years ago I had a Lawn Boy two cycle lawn mower that I used for 20 years cutting grass in the blazing heat. I sold it when I moved to an apartment. It ran like a top. People bought Lawn Boys because they last forever and were feather weights when compared to the standard 4 cycle lawn mowers.

Carbon builds up in a cylinder and glazes when the mixture is filthy rich and too hot. Then it will begin to shear the top side of the piston like in the photo. The crap will eventually stick the ring and that's when the newbie will call for help. Unfortunately they listen to you. Who in my opinion doesn't know **** about many things.
