I have shelved my swift while waiting for cheaper battery options after frying all my emoil cells. Today I have ordered the True Rc 6s batteries. I currently have the Neu 1907 1.5y motor and 9 tooth pinion. Is this the best pinion for a cheap 6s battery?
The all aluminum head that Century sells...Are there still main blade grip problems with their aluminum pieces?
I am looking to fly fast patterns I guess around 2000rpm.
What setups have you guys run with the cheap 6s batteries and neu 1907 to get the best performance. Do I need to consider 10 tooth pinion.

i have a pair of swift 16's , one witha stk century 600 and one with a 1907 1.5y on 8s.

One thing i can tell you is that neu motors do not like century esc's
I set my neu up with a cc hv85 first, worked awesome every thing was cool., then i ended up stelling that esc for a 12s swift 620 and installed the century hv 85 esc and the motor whent from 110* f to 180*f after only one flight, plus i lost 200 headspeed.i've been told it's a timeing thing, and you can't change the timeng on a century esc. I've since put a cc hv 45 in it and motor temps back to 100*f.

As far as metel head on a 16. not needed. i spin mine at 2500 with 550 carbon blades, no problem's and i don't baby it.

On 8s i run fp 3200 4 min hard flying or 5.5 easy flying. so a 4000 mah 6s should work good.
by the way that motor on 8s is awesome.one of my fastest heli's.

excellent a year ago I flew mine lots on 7s and 8s emoli cells 3000. I am using the 45 hv castle also. I heard that a 7s emoli is the same as 6s lipoly. with 9 tooth pinion, the 8s was around 2150 and was greatto fly. It is good to hear that 2500 rpm with total stock plastic! I have some 6s coming and I already have one 4s. Maybe I gear for 2000 on 6s and make it a 8s every once in a while for windy fast flights

What pinion do you use for your 8s and at what head speed.

I had some extension cords between my balancer and balancer tabs on the packs. These extension cords did not allow the batteries to balance properly. And at the time, I wanted to fly so I charged the batteries several times even after I realized my problem. I have recovered two packs and have been flying them with lots of fun a 7s and 8s. But I just today got some true rc 6s 4000mah packs which are only good for 40A continuous, but they are very light.
