Anyone else found that the M5 stainless blade bolts are soft? After about a dozen flights on mine (5 of those were low headspeed breaking in the engine and the others in the mid 1800's with Radix 710's) I started to develop vibrations in the skids. I pulled the blade bolts and found them both to be bowed, one slightly and the other pretty significantly. I'm going to replace them with the hardened steel bolts from the Synergy, but I suspect this was the cause of the vibrations.

stainless has its uses but not as a grip bolt, is this a kit part? if it is then someone should check their bolt application chart.
Stainless bolts, while pretty, are generally softer than the normal "alloy" bolts found on most other heli's.
Hit them with a magnet to see if they are truly "stainless" or just pretty....

Magnet is not attracted to them at all.

We had a few that were bent while machining them because we were pushing them too hard and we discarded them but maybe a couple of them might have gone through. Maybe yours in one of those. Please send us an e-mail with your information to replace them for you. You'll see that after flying them quite a bit there will be no bending.
Don't forget that we have had the programmable head out for almost 4 years now and if there was a problem with the bolts that would have been evident for a long time.
Augusto.

Thanks Augusto. I didn't notice that they were bent when I installed them the first time, but I can't say that I was paying close attention to them at the time. I will send an email tomorrow.

I guess more than one made it through. I have two bent, one is very bad and the other is not as bad but bent.

If we swapped we could have matching sets it sounds like.
