If you're not getting blade woof, don't bother with it.

Flipping was sometimes used on the V1 but not on the V2. If you have a problem with a V2 head there is something else wrong. Control balls becoming loose on the screws is the most common problem. Put blue thread lock on the metal to metal area where the screws go through the balls.

Other causes are servos with loose gears or servos that don’t have enough holding power or centering accuracy. Poorly designed blades with the cg in the incorrect location have also known to cause problems.

I have helped fix several of these problems and most of the time it’s a problem with the links.

no i'm getting the woofing on hard right turns or using negative pitch, it fixes it self when you jam the positive collective.

if it is correcting itself when switch from Neg to pos pitch then all the grip flip will do is make it woof in Pos and not in neg. I just recently had the woof issue on my 50 and it was cause I was using the upper mixer mod alot of guys are doing now adays by using 90 washout arms in place of the stock upper mixers.I evidently didnt have my links setup right cause it flew fine till after a crash and I reset the links a different way to make it more linear and now I have a woof from hell. I am now going back to the stock mixers to see if it clears up the issue.

I agree, you have a problem in the head.

Slop in the collective system, start at the servo and work your way up to the blade grips.
Some common causes are bent delta arm screws, radial bearings becoming loose in the blade grips, washout base wear, slop in the mixing arm bearings, crappy blades (aft cg), slop in the servo output arm bearing, and others.

Don't waste your time flipping grips. Barracuda is correct:

Sorry to hijack, but I'm just trying to qualify the definition of WOOF. Is it that the blades go wildly out of track?

Reson I ask is that my Raptor 30 sometimes makes a "harsher" running sound which then at other points in the flight becomes "cleaner" as if the engine has come "on the pipe" (tuned pipe). The blades don't seem to go out of track, at least not to the naked eye.

Cheers,
Tach.

You can see it, it looks like an X-Wing fighter and makes a distinctive sound.

It's actually called woof and poof.

Woof being the barking noise of the blades going out of track, poof being the helicopter exploding in mid air when one of them hits the boom.

How to Flip:

http://fritzthecat.250free.com/r30headflip.html

It works. You can spend days and $$ trying to fix the woof or you can spend 10 minutes for the flip. Your choice.
And the very good aftermarket Kasama head comes already flipped.

Thanks 'cuda. I kind of got the impression that the woof is an excessive situation!
