Gasser Model RC Helicopters > Like to temper down my cyclic on the MA SE / 1005/ w -Hanson

Kudo's 1st to all those that helped me with the flat line plateau curve's on both bird's. It worked to say the least !!!!

My SE is pretty sensitive on the cyclic , smooth steady vib free hover, good " Great " power transition, pretty rocket quick tail.

A Little bit goe's along - long - ways " Good Stuff"

The SE has a Pro Head, with 195 grm SAB 680's, total cyclic is around 6 degrees per spec with no binding at the limit's.

The only difference between the SE / Pro and my Standard 1005 is the swashes.

The 1005 is equiped with the newer Fury style and the SE is equiped with the original older style four point stle. Handels like a powder puff pooter.

Seems that the SE feels like it's always sitting on the center of the ball and is very sensitive and instant.

Question : Is it the style of swash's ??

A. Dial the throws down a bunch ??

B. Pile in the Expo ?

C. Kinda morph the two ??

I'ts a touchy feely thing I 'm trying to dampen a bit.

Thanx !!

Jack,, I would just pile on the expo, for a smoother feel at center stick, but still have full travel if you go to extremes... Yes you can take out some travel, but I wouldn't,, just put in like 40% expo, and try that, if it is still touchy, then dial in 50%, I think with expo, you will get the feeling that your looking for,, also you could add some flybar weights, they will help in two differant setting,, One they will make it more stable in hover, plus slow down some of the cyclics.. Hope this helps.. XGM/VGM

I found my 1005 abit touchy in hover and overall not as steady as I would havwe hoped for such a large bird. Checked all my links etc and all was tight with no slop. Looked into my radio and found I had absolutely no expo dialed in in any mode! What i tried was 10% expo in normal and 15 and 20 % in 1 and 2 on both elevator and airleron. Much better. May do more.

Setup is everything, All my heli's can fly better than I can pilot them
