Its just clothing dye from your local store. Then just boil them for about 5-8 minutes...

hey guys to anwser two questions no the dyeing of the canopy dose not work nor look good it comes out looking like faded color plastic my friend john thought it would be cool but it look like crap, second the frame was a g-10 siver frame the black dosen`t change if you dye it,but i soke it for five mins, in hot water on the stove but make sure that the water isn`t boiling just lightly steaming the smaller pieces took less time like 1 1/2 to 2 mins to do them but when you soke them you want to check the frame very 30 seconds to see if that the color darkness that you want so from the first 1 min up to 5 mins, will deteremend how light or dark the frame color will be.

Did you notice any degradation of the frames at all??? Did they get softer or more flexible ,was there no change? I am surprised that the dye penetrated the epoxy to get to the fibers or is the epoxy just taking to the dye to change color.....
The results look fantastic.....now to experiment with different colors.
Wouldnt surprise me to see this become the standard in the industry.....
Can anyone say "patent"......

I got a silver frame set and dyed it with ritz dye Sunshine Yellow which turned the frames a beautiful gold color. I am more than pleased with the results....

I heated the dye to just below boiling then let them soak for ten miniutes. Also dyed a set of Align 325mm White CF blades.....

Actually not a bad idea

Curious though, did you remove the bearing before dieing the frames?

No...but I did use LPS spray to clear any water after dyeing then greased it by packing the bearing .Since it not a high RPM bearing it shouldnt be an issue.
