Hey guys new to the electric stuff.How hot is that esc supposed to get on a blade 400 ?

Shouldn't get so hot that you can't hold your finger on it for several seconds.
Yours is a common problem. Try venting your canopy, or moving the ESC to the side of the frame, or adding a seperate BEC. Also, reducing your flight time to around 5 mins will help a lot.

Oops, forgot to answer your question. I average 100-110 deg f after a hard flight. (don't forget my ambient temperature is usually around 50-60 deg f after work) In the research I've done on this it seems to be popular belief that anything above 200deg f is a big bad no no.
