What do you guys bring to the field to hold your fuel and to pump it in to the heli tank. Jersey modeler has these rigs which look pretty good but are pretty expensive. Are they worth it?

I use a one gallon plastic gas can from walmart. I then bought a $10.00 hand crank pump from an online hobby shop or ebay that was good for gas or nitro. I cut 2 little holes in the top of the can for a standard set of tank fittings....I think they are Dubro. The tubing came from the local lawn mower shop.

i use the jersey modelers one and love it. it a 2 gallon contain has fuel pump Velcro to the end and a small chain has a filter clunk inside and a inline filter too. so your fuel is double filtered. i believe it was well worth the 30 some bucks, till you buy a pump a container fuel line and filters your gonna get that anyway, at least with this its take out of box and fill your ready to go.

Hang on, I'll take a pic of what I use. I'll load it in a few minutes. Extremely simple.

It's a Cermark pump that I picked up for about 12 bucks shipped on Ebay. The fittings are the standard Dubro can fittings. Works great.

I use the Dave Brown Six Shooter. It has only one moving part, and the only thing you will have to ever replace is a piece of tygon tubing, available from a lawn mower shop,or as a repair kit from Tower Hobbies. I have been using these for almost 25 years(same ones),one for glow and one for gas. I got tired of the leaking and squeaking of all those other so called fuel pumps. Best of all,the Six Shooter is cheap. I haven't seen anything better for a reasonable price.

I bought this at a hobby shop about 10 years ago, and it still works today, pump and all... It is a one gallon plastic gas can, XGM/VGM

Here is mine, made to clamp right on the Camper Fuel can, no transferring/pouring to another container, just add oil to the premeasured one gallon. Works great and good balance.
Crank away and the choppers refueled.

Here in the Orlando area Wally Mart has always had it in stock. Wait, I stocked up a few months ago but there was plenty on shelves then, but I haven't checked lately. Think I'll go check tomorrow.

We use little tanks made for outboard trolling motors, they already have a pickup and all the plumbing installed, you just add your pump.

Hand Crank Gas Fueling Station

I have had this gas fueling station for years.
Looks very clean/profesional with a hand crank. I have never had a problem with it over the years.
I think I only paid $65.00 for what you see pictured, per unit.
I also just bought a electric driven fuel station for my turbine.
Even more sexy thatn the gas versions!

Stopped by Wally Worls and your right, only Coleman fuel. I still have 3 gallons of Ozark so I'm good for awhile. I'll try the sporting goods store 'Gander' and see what they carry.

I just bought one of these today at Esprit. It's pretty nice with an aluminum head piece.

I use a 1 gallon plastic container with a primer bulb and hose from a boat gas tank. 5 or 6 squeezes of the bulb and the heli tank is full.
