Hey guys,

I had a funny thing happen yesterday, my LiPo battery popped open. Luckily no one was hurt and nothing caught fire. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice on new batteries that won't be prone to doing this in the future. I have a HB CP2 and I love the thing but right now I am grounded without a battery. Any suggestions? (That hopefully won't break my wallet )

Thanks a lot,
Jordan

New battery question

What type were you using or looking to get?
I got the align "High-Power" 25 C 2150 mAh and after a 5 minute fly the battery doesnt even get worm and the charger (Cellpro 4S) reads that the battery still has 60%! I have no problems or complaints and they go for $55 @ my LHS.

1- take apart 2-repair damage 3-check everything 4-go fly and crash 5- repeat #1

Hmmmmm, lipo advice.........

Don't over charge it
Don't over discharge it
Don't puncture it
Observe it after a crash and make sure it dosen't "puff"
Keep it from getting too hot (car dash)
Keep it from getting too cold (lol, car dash in Canada)
Charge it in a flame resistant area

By the sounds of things yours was either over discharged, defective, or damaged. Oh well, it happens to everyone sooner or later. Better luck next time.

with 2 ears and 1 mouth you should listen twice as much as you talk
