I've been flying my CP for some time and tried to take it out today. When I plug the battery in the servos jitter then one of several things happens:

The 4-in-1 flashes 3 reds, then LED off - nothing, controls are all dead
The 4-in-1 flashes 3 reds, then alternates red and green, controls are all dead
The 4-in-1 flashes 3 reds, then solid green, (no flashing green), controls are all dead

I've been flying this on a Futaba 9Z for quite some time and never had a problem. I tried the original transmitter and got the same results so I know its not the Tx.

It worked just fine the last time I had it out. Any ideas or similar experiences.

My CP is nearly stock with a 3S lipo, 8T pinion motor and just switched from wood to graphite blades (couple times flying with the composite blades). Main and tail are fused and fuses are fine.

thanks all,

Check that the crystal is properly seated in the receiver (and it is the same frequency as the Tx). Easiest way is to remove it and replace it...

--> Alternating red/green means you do not have a positive RF link.
--> Solid red means the throttle (and trim) is not in the lowest possible position.
--> Blinking green means still initializing.
--> no LED means ?

Solid green is what you are looking for.
