| Sand the seam at 45 degree angles with a sanding block, after you scratch into the gel coat, take a razor blade and a glazing compound and lightly build the low side of the joint.(The glaze will minimize shrinking and additional pinholes...). Sand again and repeat. As the seam begins to disappear, use the razor blade and glazing compound to lighly feather the joint out equal distance on each side, and sand again with a finer grit. Sanding across the seam at 45 degree angles should prevent the flat spots.
