I have 4 of the 2n1's on systems. I run it on a R50, two trex 600's and 1 Vmax90. To date no issues or problems. Just charge the battery push the button and go fly. They are excellent in my experience. I even have a spare waiting for that next model.

Well I guess i spoke to soon. Mine has started to glitch over my last few flights. I am going to fly tomorrow with the glow wire unhooked and see what happensIf I have no problems I will try to change the wire
clip. Everything was fine up to 70+ flights.

I went with switch glow and ar7100r and dx7 i was wondering how to get it to come on?? i have it with gyro now to where i take it out of hh and its on and back to hh and its off but my throt hold dose not work. it shuts the heli off. i was told put it in throt plug as there is 2 of them and it would come on on start up and every time i used throt hold. so is this they simplest way to do it or leave it as is. i dont like mixing ch i like it simple. thanks

just wanted to add to this post, I've been having electrical problems on my vibe 50, i run a spekrum ar7000, hitec 6965 on cyclic, jr770 and 8900 tail servo i had problems with the heli going completely dead on the ground, i found the cheapo align pack had swelled so i replaced it with the outrage 2500mah pack problem went away for a few days, then first flight yesterday the heli glitched hard in a flip, managed to get upright, then heli tail started to jerk hard intermittently, accompanied by loss of of all control for a fraction of a second. i managed to get it on the deck but could not duplicate the problem on the bench, everything except the 2 in 1 regulator is new, none of my other helis have the same prob so i know its not the radio.i think my regulator is on the fritz, I'm going to go with the Scott Gray reg and see if it goes away, i owned an arizona before and it was a good reg, i thought i'd like the Align with the on board glow but i can't chance putting my heli in the dirt. hopefully the new regulator solves the problem

Been using the 2 in 1 since the day they released it ! Have never had a problem…not one !...would like them to lengthen the glow-plug lead by about an inch would be nice !

Dimmit..I can stop this anytime I want..no..really I can

Has anyone seen the switch fail. What I've noticed is that the all the battery indication LED's go out except the red one. However, the regulator is still outputting in the normal way. I thought it might be that the circuit board was glitchy but no it seems to be the switch. I've had around 40 flights without a problem and like the convenience of the onboard glow but I'm not prepared to take the chance with my heli.

I have to say that the glow clip was the problem. I have put about 30 or so flights sence I removed the glow clip and not a single glitch. I did notice that the alligator clip was starting to wear and was thinking of replacing with a different clip, but who wants to take the chance of putting there bird in the dirt. So I just put the glow ext. on . It was nice for the first 70+ Flights

I just had another one fail....lucky this time only the wire for the glow ignitor broke off at the solder joint.....last one for me....I just switched over to a Fromeco Arizona Reg.....I do miss the ignitor. But that's a minor issue compared to a rebuild form a power lead coming off at the joint.

You ask and you shall receive, I recently got a replacement 2in1 and the wire is an inch or so longer now. They really do a good job looking for even the smallest improvement. Now it's no problem getting the wire on to the plug.

I have a new one and cut the aligator clip off and heatshrinked the end. I just use an old boom from a 450 with a twist on glow driver end glued into it. It just pops in from the hole under the canopy. No stupid clips on the glow plug. Just pop the extended glow driver on and start the motor. It's so easy.

I'm not at home right now and won't be for another 9 days so I don t have access to it.

I can tell you what to do.

Get an aluminium 450 boom. Get a twist on type glow driver (the one where you turn it on the glowplug to lock it on)
Get some nice long 18 guage wires and solder them to the glow driver. The red to the middle and the black to the outside of the glow driver. (if you have trouble soldering the black one to the outside just jam it in between the driver and the boom when you glue it in)
So now glue the driver into the boom with epoxy and the wires come out the other end. Get a end piece that fit in the boom that the wires come out of from radio shack. Just like a button with a hole in it. Glue it in. You need to leave the red wire free to move as the driver needs to be able to push in and turn to lock which will push the red wire back a little.
Now heatshrink some tubing over the end of the boom up to the driver end to keep it tidy.
Solder some banana plugs on to the wires and pop them in your glow driver panel.

Simply push the boom down onto the plug and then twist to lock. The thing hangs off the plug through the canopy hole in the bottom. Start your engine and then remove the driver by push and twist in the opposite direction.
I have done this for over a year with no problems. It's just like a normal driver but extended!
I got this idea from a mate....it's so simple but it works well and remote glows I couldn't be bothered with....you have to take them off to get at the plug and they forever seem to break. Glitch free as there is no onboard glow to rattle around with metal to metal contact.
