Is anyone using the 2.4Ghz Seagull Pro and also using 2.4Ghz for their heli?
I know you can't/shouldn't use a 2.4 downlink with a 2.4 heli setup, but wasn't sure if there is the same issues with the 2.4 Seagull.

I'm thinking its not a good idea, but interested to hear from anyone thats tried it.

I wouldn't imagine a seagull system to use a whole lot of 2.4ghz bandwidth (unlike video downlinks), so it may not be a problem. But I don't know for sure because I don't have a seagull system...

Just order the EU version on the 400mhz band then...

Hi All,

Ben, we are receiving our first production run today, and rc-log.co.uk (our UK distributor) is receiving an order from those. I'd recommend ordering from them. We don't accept direct orders from UK.

CRCR, the 2.4 Seagull (as well as the 433 Seagull) works well with Spektrum and Futaba 2.4 TX's, and as far as we know works with all others also. Are you using one of those?

Regards,

Bill, for Eagle Tree Systems, LLC

Hi Bill,

Yep I'm using Futaba 2.4Ghz, regulations don't allow 433 or 900.

Got the OSD unit now, but suddenly realized this is only for video cams and not stills...

Anybody else got it, that can confirm that?

Are you sure about this ??
Some stills dont have live video out - maybe yours doesnt?
I thought it feeds the signals and it doesnt matter through which media?

But before I order mine I must know if your observation is correct..
Did you buy yours via UK?

I also received mine today, I do only stills, the OSD simply goes inline between your camera's line out (stills, video or CCD camera) and the video TX.
I haven't connected it up to prove this yet, but thats how I understand it.

I ASSUME its possible, but you have to make a special cable for it, since theyre only selling servo to AV plug (yellow) and not servo to minijack female, i guess its all about figuring out which order the leads will be.

For me its, one minijack from my Canon 450D to servo, and one servo to minijack to the downlink tx.
But maybe Bill just forgot us that uses stills with minijacks at the moment, ive mailed him about it, i also addressed the windows appl version, 6.6 or above, the only available now is 6.73 which is a unstable beta version..

By the way, mine only came with the unit, no extra servo cable...

Bought it from rc-log in the uk

Maybe this will work
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LRNJ32...20&linkCode=asn

The only thing to remember is that audio signals often are arranged differently than video signal on a minjack plug....

Annars kan man ju fråga på Clas Ohlson

I Make my own cables, with Canon minijack, the tip is signal and the sleeve is ground. Either cut a minijack off a lead, leaving enough to solder a servo lead to it. White to tip, black to sleeve, red disconnected.

Ja, Classe har allt!

Thanks for the idea of how to make the cable on my own, Ben!

Ben, do you know the combination on the Eagletree side, standard left black, middle red?
Guess its easier to make servo end first and then arrange the minijack last...

I too would appreciate if someone let us know if this will work with still cameras. I have been seriously considering to order this product, but I cannot if it just works for video.

On the other hand, I am surprised Eagle Tree doesn't check this thread much. Isn't this the thread they started?
