Yes, Bill finally

Can this feature in some way replace the seagul display for the visual stuff, not audible alarm.

I mean, can it be combined, so if an alarm on the seagul sounds, i can check the OSD monitor screen to check what it is, rather than also pick up the seagul, to make it even easier to have controll without taking the view of the heli...?

Hi All,

Sorry it took us so long.

Re alarms, the OSD has built-in alarm functionality. You can set an alarm, and the OSD will switch on (if it is turned off), and display the alarming parameter with flashing text.

For example, if you set a low battery alarm, the OSD will turn on and flash the battery voltage on the screen when the voltage reaches that level.

There is no problem using the Seagull with the OSD at the same time, though.

Sounds like a great product, but im trying to figure out how to hook it up to the downlink system, when all the outputs/inputs are occupied by the camera gear?

Example;
I Have a Canon G9 with usb out and a minijack AV out.
The usb is occupied by the urbi trigger system, and the AV out is connected to the downlink tx...
Where does this OSD go then?

Never argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience...

The OSD goes here. You need to run your AV "out" wires from your camera to the OSD "in" connector then run from the OSD "out" connector to your downlink tx. Basically sticking the OSD between your camera and the downlink tx. The only thing about this OSD is that it uses servo connectors so you would probably have to do some soldering if you have RCA connectors. EagleTree has an adapter cord for about $10. You would probably need 2 of them if you don't want to make your own. (scroll to the bottom of their page)

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Any chance that any custom characters can be programmed in (like a 5 letter / number call sign) for those of us using the ham band for the downlink?

Hi All,

First, let me apologize for lack of reply. For some reason the email notifications for this thread were not reaching me! I think that's corrected now.

daytonabeach, as aambrose correctly states, the OSD connects between the video output of your camera, and the video input of your transmitter/downlink.

djsegler, yes this is supported - you can enter a string of characters to display on any/all of the OSD display pages.

DKTek and Pistol Pete, thanks for the kind words! Pete, where else do you think we should announce this on RR?

We have now received our first small prodcution run of boards, and we are shipping those to customers who have orders already and who are ok with beta software. Email me at support2@eagletreesystems.com if you want to participate in this pre-release. We should have our "official" release software ready, with our large production run, in about two weeks.

Wallet Is Now Lighter!!!!!

Burnt Offering
I went to the site last evening and had the exact same feeling...and just could not resist the temptation!!!!! So I pulled the trigger!!!!
I am pretty new in doing some electric conversions and this looks like the ANSWER to a lot of questions with real time data.....
I am really looking forward to being able to know exactly what is going on "right now"!!!!!!
This hobby just gets better every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I also agree that you need to get something going on the main discussion and in the electric sections.... the only way that I found this post was to do a search.... JMHO!!!!

Stan

If there is a cure for this, please don't tell me about it!!!

Pete, thanks for the suggestion. We will post an announcement on the main forum. We are RR advertisers which makes this ok to do. :-)

The home arrow info has changed slightly since that screenshot was taken. We will be updating that hopefully today, and I will post a link to the home arrow information (in the manual) when the manual is on-line, probably today also.

Ministock22, we will probably do a full AH implementation later. We are doing preliminary work on the sensor required to do this right.

Doorman, thanks for your order and your kind words!
