e-E-Flite Blade CP CX 400-3D > Blade 400 3D ESC wont arm

Just finished my upgrades and cant get the ESC to arm. I have the 10a BEC plugged into the batt ch and the ESC plugged into ch1 without the red cable. I hook up the lipo and the rx comes alive and I get 2 tones from the ESC along with a twitch from the motor (has always done that).

I'm not in any other flight mode other than norm, with a linear thr curve. I went as far as setting up throttle hold with -20, still wont arm. No trims or sub trims. Also tried adding L -125 on thr channel sub trim and still wont arm. Batt voltage 12.31v no load. Any Ideas? Thanks

It might help if you let everyone know what ESC you are using.

is the bec a new one or have you had it for awhile. The older ccbec had a problem with spektrum rx's. If its a new one then thats not it.

I dont think its a bind issue, cause cyclic and tail responds well. the cc10a BEC is factory default which is 5.1v

i see your running the 401. Maybe teh .1 volt is screwing something up. The 401 is supposed to be run @ 5 v.

Just a shot it the dark.

Nobody else is running a seperate BEC? If so, where did you connect it to? I even tried disconnecting the black wire from the factory ESC/BEC and leaving the thr signal wire by itself...

Update... Tried removing the signal wire from the cc BEC and nothing. I'm out of ideas... I guess its a CC 35 ESC/EBC if I can get a solution soon...

"cc" Castle creations?

For those of you with the affected CC BECs and Spektrum receivers there are at least three solutions:

Remove the orange signal wire from the CC BEC RX power lead before you plug the lead into the battery port on the receiver.

Plug the entire/intact lead from the CC BEC into any other port on the receiver.

Use a "Y" connector to plug the entire CC BEC lead into any port other than the BATT port on the receiver.

Hope this helps.

My Blade had the same problem, along with a few others. I sent my 400 back to Horizon over 3 weeks ago and they still have not even looked at it yet. GGGrrrrrrrr

I didn't have any problems in mine. I have my ccbec for 2 months now. I have the stock AR6100e. I did what you guys did took the red pin out of the stock esc plug, solder the power leads of the ccbec from the deans and plug the ccbec t the bind/batt plug in the rx. I never re-bind on doing the ccbec and upgrading the cyclic servos also.
I recieve my castle link cable last friday and updated my filmware and adjusted to 6volts. It took about 10secs to do it, no big deal.
I don't really know why you have that problem. Oh before I plug the ccbec to the rx I tested the voltage the ccbec first and check my wirings and heat shrinks.
