What's the biggest main blades I could use with the Evo 90? And what size tail blades?

What are your favorite blades for hard 3D?

Thank you

Hi Mate,

You can run 700 mains and 105 tail fine and reduce one or the other size wise but that is the biggest combo you can apparently run before they hit on the Evo head. I think the main 3D setup people are running is 690 mains and 105 tail on the Freya Evo. I just bought a set of Radix 690's to run on mine, but it flew well with the 700's I had on there. The 690 Vblades apparently make the heli bite harder in the air but I haven't tried them yet.

You just need to setup the head right for 3d (There is a thread with pics showing how to do this) and take the weights out of the paddles (i've just got the brass ones in at the moment as it can get windy where I fly) and away you go!

It been a while since I tacked my freya. I think it was around 1800-1900. I know its not going over 1900. If i remember right I have my csm RL10 the high setting is set to 1900 low 1800.

I like these:

http://www.heli-world.com/detail.aspx?ID=1076

I had 690 v-blades on it previously, and the rotortechs load the motor less and have quicker cyclics. The rotortechs do not store as much energy in the blades at the bottom of autos, as can be expected from a lighter blade. The v's are louder, of course, so if you're looking for noise, don't go rotortech.

1890 on my headspeed. 105 tail blades with tail speed-up gear.

What up Dakine! You gone back to Freya's?? I seem to remember a bunch of Xspec's I built for you...

I like the V's personally, fast cyclics and loads of collective pop. I'd like to try a set of the Radix Stick bangers though.. and 690's of course...

And yes I've been flying my EVO a lot lately! I put a CCPM kit on and man what a difference! Fly's awesome!

Wouldn't bigger blades hamper 3D? I would stick to 690's. I have a set of Radix for my new Freya, I'll post my results after I've flown them a few times.

Thanks for all the info.

Hey Andy, your builds were awesome!

Is 710 too much for the Evo?

Thanks
