| I've been enjoying my Futaba 9451 servos, but recently broke a gear. "How" you say? Yes there are metal gears in these servos, but the second gear is thin plastic.
While the gears are strong in flight, you still may experience a potential servo gear breakage in a crash. Best advice: don't crash. A full gear set for the 9451 servo is $25! That comes with three metal gears, a ball bearing, and the one little thin plastic gear. What to do?
I found 9251 servo gears are the same as the 9451, and you get get five full plastic gear sets for just $11.50 here:

That is a better deal than $25 for one plastic gear and the other gears you may not need.
