| It was the day South Africa was handed over to the new regime, and on the official dais were all the dignitaries including Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and others.
Just before the beginning of the official proceedings, Mandela asked Prime Minister Botha what the time was. "1:58" he replied.
Desmond Tutu, who was a little hard of hearing, asked what the time was...
Botha turned to him and said:-
"It's two to two too Tutu"
