I bet it would work. Don't think a thunderbird nine would be a good esc because they require a 10 amp esc. But I would be willing to try it. I am wondering why it so much cheaper than the others.

From the reviews it sounds like it runs really hot and would burn up in no time
My Feigao ran a little hot and only lasted me a couple months - My Medusa runs cool and lasted almost a year - Seems the cheaper the motor the shorter it lives - So as usual spend less and replace more (like brushed motors) or spend more and replace less which was my whole reason for converting to brushless as the performance is about the same

Yeah, my Fieago didn't last 3 min for me either cost me a rebuild and TB9 as well. because wires were broken inside. same size. I think I'm going to try it a long with a few other things I'm getting from there.

Wow! Nice deal!

It certainly is worth a try - make sure you put a heat sink on it. I am still running my original Feigao tail motors (with heat sinks), including 1 that spent one week under water, and 1 that I had to replace the wires on. My Feigao tail motors do not get hot (I alternate 2 helis to let them cool off between flights).

Regarding the ESC, a TB9 should be sufficient - depending on prop choice. The props that we run on the tail of the BCPx will not normally draw high current. (Remember I am using a TB9 on the main with no problems)

If you do try it, please report back...

Happy Flying!

The guy who have heat issues must have another problem. Because when my Fieago failed because of broken wire, it actually melted the labels off it, along with the ESC. It failed in air, so I'm sure it was getting full power from ESC.

I fix it last week by cracking it open and re-solder the wires and it worked then then it stopped working after I put everything together so I toss it in the trash!

I still say it would be worth a try. But I have to say that the feigao is a tough little motor. I have about twenty hours on it, with two rebuilds as well! Worth the forty bucks. But 13 dollars is tempting. Maybe it doesn't come with wires

Its usually take about 5 days from NY to here.
