Okay, Who regulary or at least once in awhile checks the motor temp after flight? Now that I have a new model broken in, I have been checking the motor temp and it is running right at 195F after a 5.5 minute flight. The motor is a Hacker A50-16S running on 10S with a Castle 85HV speed control. I am turning 2150 rpm with a 8.4:1 gear ratio.

sounds like the normal temp that you have in a Razor. best advice I can give you is to change it out with a 32-3 and run a ratio around 10 or alittle above and run it on 12S

No need to change, it's flying fine, just curious. My other Razor has the Tango 45-08 and runs great, just cooler, probably due to not being an outrunner like the Hacker. I'm also told that the Hacker is probably a little cooler during flight due to the fan on the motor, then heats up a little more after stopping.

Yeh! it will run hot , When I was with MA 2 years ago, that motor always ran hot, just couldnt back to back fly. the 08 runs real well, like a 50 . Clint could sure smooth smack it. I ran 5 motors on my prepreduction razor from 10S to 12S, I found the best one was the 32-3 for a steady HS and hard 3D as well as cool temps on everything
everything has a running temp! Hackers on 10s seam to just keep riseing.
