Looks like I should be getting a Raptor 60v2 at the end of the month and I was wondering if the 401Gyro and 9253 servo is strong/good enough for the 60 size or should I move up to the 502gyro/servo combo.

Also what are the servo specs that most others are using for the other functions....min torque speed etc?

I was shocked that poeple at my feild were using the 9253 servos with the 401. THe servo doesn't have too much torque. That doesn't matter in this case because it has great holding power. It is surprising to me, but I am so convinced that the 401 combo would work that I would put it in my fury.

Your cyclic servos should be 70 oz in of torque or more and .22 sec or faster.

Your collective servo should be over 100 oz in of torque and .22 sec or faster.

The throttle servo doesn't need a lot of torque and .22 sec or faster servo will work well. I like to have a servo that is slightly faster than the collective.

The GY-401 and 9253 will work fine for 60 size helis.

I have been using 9202's on collective and cyclic, with no problems at all.

Try some carbon tailblades with the GY401 - 9253on the R60......SUPER

A 9202 on collective will work, but when you start pushing the heli, the low torque will start to become apparent.
