Kyosho Caliber 30 & 60 - Concept - Nexus > Caliber 6, $599.00?

I was just on the heliproz site and they have the Cal 6 in stock, but I noticed the price of 599. I guess they must have done alot more to it than I was able to see on the Kyosho website.

$599, you still need to add a set of blades and the usual trappings. For a warmed over Caliber 5...a bit on the steep side.

New autorotation hub/bearing design, bigger tank, push-pull tail.

New hub bearing, pp tail and bigger tank for $350 more than a Caliber 5? and W/O blades?

If I goint to spend $600 I prefer to buy an RJX extreme 50, a Vibe 50 or wait a little to the release of the beautiful ElyQ vision 50 or the T-rex 700, all they are contest proven machines.

My Caliber 5 is not a bad heli but is not in the Hot Dogs, contest winners, 3DXtreme pilots arena, and the Caliber 6 will not be there.

Does Kyosho plan on eventually dropping the Caliber 5? One of the nice things about the Cal 5 was its price. You could buy an extra kit to have on hand in case of the "inevitable hard landing". I guess that anything which uses Petroleum based products is bound to increase but $300.00 for an EMS/Auto Hub/Push Pull Tail upgrade???

That can't be good!

I'll guess that the Caliber 5 will be around for a while. The 6 is a expensive upgrade. They'll sell a lot more 5's than sixes.

The price they are showing must be suggested retail or a typo because it is listed on the Kyosho America site for $399 and dealers sell it for less than that.
