Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > RAPTOR 50 Chaos manouver and 3d dampers

Hi all,

I have a raptor 50 V2 and a raptor titan, both with quick uk main block but stock plastic blade grips and Radix 600 main blades.

For the titan i have the TT 3d dampers ( black with O-Rings ) and for the V2 i have the Infinavation dampers.

Also both with 6º max in ciclic and (10.5º;-10.5º) pitch.

My question is, will i be able to do the chaos manouver safely without getting boomstikes with this setup ?

Also,

How many flights will these dampers last with mild 3D ( tic-tocs, chaos ) ?

Thanks

Yes, and you can get some more cyclic out of that, I'd go 7.5 to 8

Hi BarracudaHockey,

thanks.

The main reason for the 6º limitation is exactly to avoid blade-boom encounters

After last boomstrike while doing chaos ( red dampers ) i got a bit scared

Cant tell you how slow it gets rolling

I have Raptor 50 with TT red dampers radix 600 blades and titan boom... works just fine...
If you had boom strike then tighten your blades

Yes your setup will allow any manuver. You will have to "fly" the manuver, and if you just "jam the sticks around" you may bog down the rotorhead an have a boom strike. Soft dampers on their own do not CAUSE boom strikes.

Yes no problems. Just make sure you don't bog it down and back off immediately if you do. Light rpm drop is no problem. You dont need extreme cyclic for chaos anyway, not more than a normal roll or flip.

that means 6º cyclic are enough for the chaos, right ?

I have no idea about the actual number on my machine, and the amount to get an acceptable roll rate also depends on your rpm and paddle weight.

I would say if you can flip and roll to inverted in about a second you are OK.

6 degrees on the cyclic's is fine for chaos. I run 6.5 degrees on the cyclic's and no problems.
