| Guys,
last weekend it happened to me - I crashed my Caliber 5 very badly.
I was flying with a budy at the same time and was quickly looking for his helicopter for a split second. Chaos in my head and my Caliber was heading towards me. Not sure whether it was uside down or right up I was trying full pitch with no reaction. Close to me I decided he is upside down and pushed full negativ pitch. The result was really not good.
Full positive pitch just accellerated to full speed and full negativ pushed the Caliber with full speed into the ground. Really bad sound, quite a bit of a hole in the field.
First thought - go by a new flyingmachine and thats it.
Meanwhile I had some time to look over the broken parts and found out that the damage was by far not that large as expected prior. The only broken parts are the usual things plus the right frame and the header tank.
Funnyly the impact was that high that the weight (don't know how this thing inside the tank is called) pushed through the tank body and was hanging outside with a nice little hole.
From my point of view, surviving such a high impact crash proves the stability of a system and honestly - all my T-Rex budies ensured me that a Rex will break in several parts when crashing like this
Anyway - it was not a T-Rex but my Caliber and the spare parts are already ordered and I hope that it'll fly again next weekend.
Cheers Stefan
